ASHTANGA BASICS

Learn the basics of this breath-centered practice to calm body and mind. We will cover the groundwork of breath, movement, and form as we break down the postures of half primary series. This class moves at a slower pace with more explanation and modifications to practice in a safe and beneficial way. Great for those curious of Ashtanga, or wanting a refresher of the basics. Class size is limited to allow for personalized attention and learning. (lower studio/garden entrance).

Cosmic Full Moon Yin Yoga & Dance Party

Celebrate the blossoming and renewal of life via this first ever River Garden Full Moon Yin Yoga & Dance Party.
First, experience a nurturing guided Yin Yoga class to connect with your life force and center in your authentic self. Then, transition into authentic movement guided by your own spirit to an expertly curated playlist that includes tribal rhythms, trip-hop, ethereal, new age, and other conscious and joyful music. This event is an inclusive experience and everyone is welcome. It is a safe place to step out of your comfort zone, shake up stuck energy, and shed old beliefs that no longer align with your authentic self anymore. And don’t forget to have a good time in a conscious, good-hearted community! The event will culminate in a full moon inspired Yoga Nidra sequence to settle the prana for a deeply relaxing and renewing good night rest.

Alive and Kicking

Saturday June 1, 2019 from 4-6 pm
A workshop to cultivate joy in your body, deepen your awareness of your subtle energies, and widen your consciousness via practicing a synthesis of Kundalini, Classical and Tantric Hatha Yoga tools. The workshop will mostly be hands-on with little theory. Indulge in the experience of your body temple and the consciousness that rests within as well as expands beyond it. Some Yoga experience is preferred as certain exercises can be high intensity or longer holds; participants are encouraged to work at their own pace and modifications will be offered.

Somatic Yoga series

Mondays -- May 13, May 20, June 3, June 10; 7:30-8:45pm.(lower studio)
A four-week series incorporating deliberately slow movements, on the ground (or seated in a chair if applicable) to re-engage the sensory-motor cortex. Through the application of voluntary, controlled contractions and releases of muscles, the brain-to-body communication lines can be refined, resulting in improved posture and mobility, relieving chronic pain patterns, and improving your capacity to relax.
This series is accessible to all ages and ability levels.

Breathwork Meditation
with Helen Buron

Every 4th Friday Evening  7:30-9:30pm (Lower Studio),
Breathwork is an active meditation that uses the breath as a catalyst for releasing, processing, expansion, and transformation. The rhythmic pattern of the pranayama breathing with two inhales and one exhale gives our minds something to focus on so we may sink into our intuitive, feeling and expressive bodies. In this group circle, you will be lying down in a supportive next of other breathers and will be guided into the breath with affirmations and music by Helen Buron-an artist and energy healing practitioner.
Cost: $25 pre-register/$30 at the door. Nobody turned away due to lack of funds.
